Analisa Pengendalian Proses Dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kualitas Produk Dengan Metode Six Sigma DMAIC Pada Produk Wirring Harness (Assy 3210a-K1a-N101-In)

This research was conducted at a manufacturing company, namely PT. Piranti Teknik Indonesia. The purpose of this research was to find out what factors influence product defects through quality control and to determine the level of defect that occurs using the six-sigma method. In identifying the factors that cause product defect using several tools. namely DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The problem that occurs is when in the manufactur there some products that experience defects. Production at PT. Piranti Teknik Indonesia still has not reached zero defect (Zero Defects) because there are still many defects found in the Wiring Harness production process. This situation has an impact on production costs a decrease in product quality which ultimately reduces profitability. So that researchers will concentrate more on improving product quality. To improve quality, researchers use the Six Sigma method which consists of five stages. Theses stages are known as DMAIC which stands for each stage, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. The number of types of defects Miss Insertion is 237, Terminal Push Out 140, Rubber Seal Torn 90. DPMO results before repair in November 2022-February 2023 is 11884 and after repair in March-June is 3088 and is at the sigma level of 4.7 which is the level this is in the average manufacturing industry in Indonesia. FMEA results of human factors are the main problem causing product defects with RPN 200.
