Abstract

This research discusses critical egg hatching tools to support the chicken farming industry in KURNIA FARM, where the majority of the population are breeders. This tool uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller with a DHT22 sensor to measure temperature and humidity in the incubator. The advantage of the DHT22 sensor lies in its responsiveness and speed of reading temperature and humidity data, as well as resistance to interference. The way this egg incubator works is that the DHT 22 sensor reads the temperature in the incubator, then sends it to the Arduino, then displays it on the LCD and determines whether the relay is high or low to turn the light on or off. Storage of hatching eggs should be at or below this temperature. A good temperature for embryo growth is between 37 - 38°C. This egg hatcher uses a microcontroller as the brain of the system that will be used. This tool managed to show a good level of accuracy with a difference of only 0.1°C for temperature and 4.3% for humidity. Even though it is effective, it is necessary to add a temperature controller and battery as electricity backup to overcome PLN blackouts. This research underlines the importance of modern technology in increasing the efficiency and success of egg hatching.
