Abstract

Work postures that are not ergonomic can cause various negative impacts on health, such as muscle pain, injury, and other health problems. It can also decrease productivity and quality of work. This study aims to analyze the work posture and level of risk for packing operators at PT. Device, a wiring harness assembly manufacturing company. This study used the NBM method to identify points of body fatigue and the RULA method to assess the risk of work posture. The results of the analysis showed that the packing operator experienced high complaints on the left and right calves. The average complaint rate was 64. RULA analysis shows that the highest level of risk in the activity of inserting a wiring harness into the box with a final score of 7 (red).  Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to improve the work posture of packing operators, namely the provision of ergonomic training, and changes in workplace design. This advice is expected to address the posture issues of packing operators, provide valuable information for companies, and create better working conditions for operators.
